FAQs

  • Light comfortable clothing is best. You are of course free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You don’t need special leggings or designer trainers just wear clothes you can move freely in.

  • Feel free to bring your own mat – the studio does have matts and props but due to Covid we encourage people to bring their own.

We also encourage you to bring a bottle of water, you can fill up your bottle at the studio.

  • Most of the time you can still practice but the general rule is only do what you can comfortably manage for your body on that day, if you have an injury don't push yourself too far and make sure the class teacher knows that you have an injury they will do all they can to offer suggested modifications but please remember we have no trained medical professionals and you are responsible for your own body.

  • Everyone is a beginner at some point and we hope that being worried about not being good enough doesn't stop you joining us. All of our classes are detailed on the website and we hope that you find enough information to ensure you don't end up in a class that might be more suited to advance practise. Do get in touch with us to talk through any questions you have or alternatively just ensure the teacher knows at the beginning of your class that this is your first time and they'll make sure your well looked after and supported.

You don't have to be super-fit or super-flexible to start doing yoga. It's great for relaxation, fitness, general wellness, strength building and making you feel good and start to see the benefits from day one.

  • We do not have showers or a dedicated changing room so please come ready to practise and ensure that you have something warm to wear on the way home. There is adequate storage for coats and boots.

  • There are conflicting views on whether it is safe to practise yoga in the first Trimester of a pregnancy so we advise you to seek independent medical advice and then to speak to your yoga teacher. Ideally seek out a pregnancy yoga course and work with a teacher who is specially trained to support you at this special time.
